Notes: The prompt I selected was Amy and Rory in the 1930s/1940s, I decided on the 1940s. I wanted to have this reminiscent of an old school photo, so making it a monochromatic painting was an easy decision. Weapon of choice, Payne's Gray. Randomly, my favorite part to draw was Amy's left leg. So I picked some oddly appropriate 1940s slang for the title.

Artist notes: Circumstances ate my face, and I completely ran out of time, despite a more ambitious beginning. I was very excited to get Doctor Who though, so it's not impossible I may eventually actually FINISH these sketches, but sharing will have to wait till after reveals.

Materials: Mechanical pencil on sketch paper, Photoshop CS4. References used are promo pictures.

She promised to come back and I think they'll always be friends. In this picture, they mirror each other's stance and respect for each other -- but there will also be a distance between them. Painted in watercolor, I swear it looked more like Freema in the sketches, but her features washed out a bit in the coloring, since I'm a watercolor novice. They're still cute though. :-D This is my first time making Doctor Who fanart, which is ridiculous because I love the show -- so I was thrilled to see it listed for this fantastic fest. Enjoy!
