Artist's Notes: Prompted by the frequent observation that Granny's status is not unlike that of a gunslinger in the Old West...I had intended this to be color, but sepia so fit the mood of both 'verses. I did have to think hard about which coven to go with, but Agnes and Susannah's mutual..affliction? ability?--sealed the deal.:)
Summary: The Tower has defenders in all worlds, even if they don't know it. In the world of the Turtle, where the doorways are sometimes thin, even a thing like tobacco smoke can sometimes slip through a door. Roland wouldn't have spent the whole afternoon at the Door. His group was intruding, offending the old woman with the gunslinger's gaze. And Susannah and the young woman acted as though they got along, but every word from them had a second meaning he couldn't catch, and it made him uneasy. But Eddie and the weird little woman would not stop talking until the song about improbably hedgehog was over. At least they got some cider to take along with them. Or something like cider, anyway. It was made from apples, the horrible little woman had said....

Artist notes: I really love both these characters. Like, really. And I extremely love this fandom, even though I've never considered doing fanart for it before. So seeing kasche's request for it, I completely bugged out. I loved the chance to draw them...but that also meant the chance of them looking retarded because of me. lol, so I drew a few character sketches before actually trying to make a decent picture.
Summary: I thought about doing a Christmas thing, but declined, since my original sketch looked horrible. I thought about what it said about the two characters in question, that it was implied that they were 'twinners', a Stephen King term for people who are identical in different points in time. I liked that idea, so I ran with it. I decided to keep Cuthbert in pencil and uncolored to create a contrast between the present ka-mai and the past one. (I love Cuthbert's expression, lol.)
