Artist notes: I haven't drawn much Who art, so this was a lot of fun! This is set in the squishy time when the three of them were together toward the end of season 1. I hope you like it!
Summary: The Doctor and companions take a side trip to an alien petting zoo. Jack flirts with the natives and the Doctor displays his animal magnetism.

Oh, I love this! I love your style--I really love how everyone is quite identifiable but you haven't gone to a place of exact duplication of the characters' faces! Instead, we get those distinct little bits of the faces that suck us right into the actor resemblance--the eye shapes, the eyebrows, the configuration of smiles. I'm not sure whom I love most!

Ah! This is so perfectly *them*. It's adorable and wonderfully drawn and their personalities are so damn spot on. This actually reminds me why I loved season one so much. Also: I want one of those bird things for my very own. So cute, yet so dangerous to intruders!

Eeehehehe there's so much going on here! I love the antics of Jack and his shameless flirting with staff, eheheh! And Ninth Doctor and his face! It's the face he always makes! And Rose, nawww. I always loved Rose and Ninth Doctor together. XD

The aliens are all so fantastic - they're like pokemon or something, they look so cute! I would pay anything to go see this zoo - you have an incredible imagination and creature concepting skills!

And finally I just love the colours - there's so many colours, it looks like a carnivale of rounded inkwork, beautiful muted-yet-colourful critters. I WANT ONE OF THOSE BAT/BIRD/HORNED THINGS. WANT.

i'm so sorry that i haven't commented before now- i was in places even the internet can't reach, and i've just now seen this for the first time. i'm glad there were some people around to squeal and coo over it, though, because it's absolutely beautiful and totally deserves it. all the details are fantastic, i can just stare at it and keep seeing more entrancing stuff (like the super sad faces on the little horned birds!! and the red markings on that hyena-beast that's got a hold of jack's shirt! and the way that tiger-dragon-thing has clearly latched onto rose because she has fur puffs just like him!) and also- the coloring is beautiful nuanced and i have huge respect for anyone who can do that because i totally can't.

anyway, super awesome work- i totally adore it, and please have my sincere apologies for not seeing it and commenting on it sooner than this.

Aw, so lush and colourful! I am amused by the critter that pulls on Jack's shirt, while Jack is obviously courting the staff. *g* Rose is pretty and I'm very fond of her hair. And naww, happy Nine, full of birds. *g* And the Tardis nestled in the greenery. Lovely detail.

Hee! This made me smile. I love Jack and the alien goats, especially putting him in the season 1 tee shirt but in the vivid color he belongs in. You can totally feel the story that should accompany this (you know there's going to be running involved any minute, and probably tripping over escaping animals, and Companions falling behind to help cute fuzzy or scaly things, and Nine making snarky comments about how much Jack has in common with the goats).

This may just be the most adorable, silly piece of art I've ever seen. I love the coloration of the animals and how Rose may just be the most colorful and fuzziest of them.

Jack hitting on the poor zookeeper, who clearly isn't saying no, is hysterical, as is the smugness of the Doctor and Rose's 'you're joking, right?' eyebrow.
