2010 Assignments

We've finally finished making your matches and sending out assignments, oof! If there is any trouble with your assignment, NOW IS THE TIME TO LET US KNOW. There are 91 of you this year, so mistakes are bound to happen. If you have an issue, please let us know via the mod email ASAP: yuletart@gmail.com.
REGARDING YOUR SUBMISSION
Remember that Yuletart is about the joy of creating art together, not about who is "best" or "most perfect." You should not only be able to put forth your very best effort, but be able to appreciate the effort of others regardless of their level of skill. We know that "effort" is a very subjective concept, so for our purposes we're defining it as an art or craft that has gone through at least one rough draft, gotten objective advice from a third party, and then edited into a final, more polished work. (Note: Mom and Dad probably aren't going to be objective about your art. If you can't find an objective beta, try![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
artbeta . The artists there are patient, generous and willing to work with all skill levels. You can even ask for one-on-one help via email.)

IMPORTANT DATES
November 13: Drop-out notification deadline without penalty
November 23: Deadline for NEW PARTICIPANT assignments until 12 midnight, Pacific Time
November 30: Deadline for PAST PARTICIPANT assignments until 12 midnight, Pacific Time

IMPORTANT EDIT/ NOTE:
Out of necessity, some artists were matched based on their requested fandoms, not just those they were willing to draw for. When the list of fandoms an applicant is willing to draw is very short, or lacking in heavily-requested fandoms, we pull from the request list as well. While we try to honor the application as much as possible, sometimes the best fit we can find is based on mutual requests. Please make sure there is no overlap between what you were given and what you requested before contacting us about a bad match.
