Artist notes: This assignment was great for me, as it gave me an excuse to go back and watch a lot of Buffy (which I haven't done in a couple of years)! I definitely ended up influenced by the B-Movie vibe from certain early episodes, and had this crazy mental image of the Scooby Gang doing their Christmas shopping, only to be interrupted as they discover that the Mall Santa and his pack of elves have all been turned into vampires.

This may also have been influenced by the fact that Mall Santas weird me out.

Artist notes: I wanted to go with gryfeathr's request for a sense of journeying, and focus on Sarah's character at the same time. The whole central Labyrinth portion of the drawing is a little dizzying to look at far off, but just like the Labyrinth in the story, I hope it pulls you in and comes a little clearer as you draw closer. I didn't plan ahead, which was kind of risky but taught me a lot. Everything in the drawing is in the movie, if slightly altered and out of order--I hope you enjoy finding everything. :)
