Thank you! I did use Will's coat (cool, you recognised it!) though the PotC prompt I was inspired by was Jack/James. Call it a hybrid character riff. I didn't think Sam should be in Naval uniform, but he makes a nice reluctant pirate and ex-respectable gentleman in any case. Dean was always going to be the pirate *g*

Yeah, that makes sense, too; Sam's always tried to live within the rules, tried to hold on to 'normal,' and failed. And for Dean, yeah, the open road is like the open sea, both mean freedom and a whiff of danger. Fantastic, fantastic job all around.
