*flail* OMG, thank you! It's gorgeous and awesome and perfect and I feel so lucky. :) Love love the premise - man, someone should write a fic like this. Pirate!SPN!fic has probably been done at some point, but one that's based on PotC would be awesome. And the drawing itself is just gorgeous! Your likenesses are perfect, it's remarkable. And Sammy looks delicious with his hair tied back like that. And aww, the way his arm is slung around Dean's shoulder... they're off to cause some pirating mischief, yes they are! And damn, but their personalities and viewpoints do rather suit Jack and James - I wouldn't have thought of it before, but it really works.

Anyway, thank you so much! I look forward to the artist reveal so I can come check out your other art and so I can thank you personally. :) Whoever you are, you're very talented. ^_^

I agree. There does have to be a blendfic/crossover for those shows. That would be divine. XD

Portraits are one of the things I love painting - but I've got to admit, this is the first time I was really happy with a colour painting of Dean. I find him tough to get a good likeness. Sam is much easier to draw.

Gorgeous! Gorgeous! And Sam and Dean track so nicely onto Will and Jack. It's all so great that I can't even pick out individual things to praise, because it all comes toegther so well: the likenesses, the clothes, the scene, eevrything. Great job.

Thank you! I did use Will's coat (cool, you recognised it!) though the PotC prompt I was inspired by was Jack/James. Call it a hybrid character riff. I didn't think Sam should be in Naval uniform, but he makes a nice reluctant pirate and ex-respectable gentleman in any case. Dean was always going to be the pirate *g*

Like everyone has said, this is just excellent art. I love the way it's sketchy and textured, rather than overly smooth, like many realismers tend to draw.

My messy painting style thanks you. I like a little texture *g*
