That's adorable! I love the way Ponyo's necklace echoes Granmamare's, and that her dress is orange (and ends in a frothy white frill)! And that Sosuke's outfit echoes his captain's cap from the last part of the movie.

Ooh, the colors! This is lovely. I don't know what this style of coloring is called but its beautiful. It's got that sort of desaturated quality but the colors are still so bright. I really like how the background is layered. And the clothes are awesome. Great work!

Hm, I'm not sure what it's called either... I certainly wouldn't call it realistic. I take a lot of cues from animation and its accompanying art, which is where I got the idea for the colored lines. But I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for commenting!

This. Is. GORGEOUS.

This is such a brilliantly thought out piece. I love the fishy-implied dress--not unlike Ponyo's fish body, which was kind of dress-like but fish-taily in its flow and movement, this new more mature dress seems to match the same basic idea. I'm mesmerized by the frothy, foamy ruffles and the lovely subtle sheen on the dress, and I adore her necklace--echoes of the jewels on her mum :D

Heee, even when they get older, they still have that look of innocence and wonder about them ^_^ Your color palette is beautiful and striking as well. Wonderful work!

I can't imagine these two as jaded or disillusioned, not even as adults. Ponyo as a story is so pure and childlike I can't treat the future of its characters as anything more (or less) than a fairy tale, perfect in a way that real life can never quite be. At least when it comes to these two.

My heart just grew nineteen sizes. I haven't seen Ponyo but the sheer force of adorable, beautiful, and sweetness is overwhelming. The colour palette is certainly not gratuitous, this looks lovely! Especially the contrasting colours of their outfits. The "foam" frill of Ponyo's dress is a great touch.
