And I love the Merlin piece, the flow of the watercolors, and the intimacy of it. Just lovely.

Thank you so much for the lovely prompts - It was a pleasure to draw for you. I wish I had painted the first one in watercolours, though; I'm definitely better at those, I think. So glad you liked the M/M pic - I reall like those two as a pair.
Happy New Year to you!

I really like the Merlin painting - particularly the delicate pose, Merlin's closed eyes and his hand with its lovely long fingers so carefully touching her hair. I like the texture of Morgana's cloak, too.

and the kiss? So muted and lovely!

To tell you the truth, I'm more of a watercolour person. ;D

Yes, the one on the right is supposed to be Edmund, indeed! Glad you liked him. :)))
Aww, I'm also happy you liked Merlin!

But the second, the SECOND omg the effects and the texture and the way you worked the watercolors is just eye popping awesome.
And you got the glow from the window so well. It's just
Wowo.
This is brilliant!

I LOVE how the siblings look so regal and beautiful together, the portrait style of the way their standing and the obvious affection, particularly between Susan and Lucy. Nawwww. Also, I have to say, I LOVE how you made the gold band on the red curtain look shiny and gold, it's lovely painting!
And Merlin and Morgana okfghfkjdh so pretty and epic their kiss - I can hear the soundtrack strings swelling with emotion when their lips first touch, I love how they both look sort of hesitant and almost polite in their passion, it's just adorable and full of story and winsome intensity. And I LOVE your watercolours in this, particularly how you made that spatter texture. Please divulge your technique once the reveals are up!

I wish I had used watercolours to paint the first one; I'm still a newbie at Copics and still finding out how to use them properly.
So glad you liked the watercolour. Technique, eh? LOL - well, it's a very simple technique, just thin layers of fairly diluted watercolour that I slowly built up. I mainly used Viridian and a combination of reds (I think it was Permanent Rose, Cadmium Red and maybe Carmine), plus some Indigo Blue and very little Cadmium Yellow)
I quite like to work with a restricted palette and mix the grays and browns with complementary colours. I'm not afraid to spatter over my almost dry pic to give it some texture. (I do however cover the faces with a scrap of paper before using a toothbrush and fairly liquid colours to spatter.) I find the stained glass window to be a bit too garish in its colours, I wish I had chosen a bigger and simpler pattern, but I quite like the way the stone wall came out.
Oh, before I forget, I used some coloured pencils to deepen the shades and to give the pic more depth.
That's all! :D
Thank you for asking - but I'm sure you knew all that anyway. :)))

And I love how you incorporated a pattern into the girl's dresses - such a lovely detail. And their skin tones are so warm.
But the second one - oh my. The texture in the stones is just beautiful as is the shading and light on Merlin's face. I love the wintery dark colors your using here.

Ah, I am please you liked the second one, I do feel more at home with watercolours, that's a fact.

The Merlin/morgana is absolutely stunning, but, alas, my inner Merlin/Arthur slasher is growling ;D

Edmund's my favourite, too! :D
LOL - you really made me laugh with your statement about M/M versus M/A. Hehe - I don't ship M/A because I want to keep Merlin for myself. I'd rather have him with a longhaired brunette girl than with a blond guy. *g*

Anyway, your comment was very much appreciated! :D

The first one is veru bright and happy. You draw royalty very well. The details on the dresses are very nice.
I like the less brightness in the second one. It sort of add the feeling of mystery or secretiveness. Very nice :D
