I love the colors! The red on her eyes, the yellow pattern madness... This piece is very nostalgic. :D

Omigod!! One of my favorite pieces of art by one of my favorite artists, and it works SO well being reworked for Dracula. :D This is awesome.

Oh, what a great homage! That's fantastic, that painting works with that canon really well, but I never would have drawn that connection! Well played, mystery artist!

This is absolutely lovely work. :) The classic pose/style goes very well for these characters, and I adore the patterns you've used for their clothing. Her expression is marvelously evocative, also.

Very lovely, thank you for my gift. I've always loved Gustuv Klimts the Kiss and am very pleased to see Dracula and Mina in that pose. I like the fact that you included his insignia in the piece, too. Thank you!!

That's a perfect idea for Dracula fanart! I like how otherworldly Mina looks.

Oh, wonderful reworking! Such a gorgeous job changing up the tiniest details to change the feel of the original. Wow, great!

Oh, this is such a cool idea! The combination of that painting, that story -- just, stroke of genius. ♥ And it's gorgeously done, too! Mina's face in particular is just beautiful.

This is so cool--I really love her face, and his hair, and the colors, wow. I especially love the spring green with the vines on her dress.

EEEEEEEE
This a wonderful nod to the classic work, and you got the characters down. WOW!
Gah, this is just a showstopper.

Terrific work!

Oh, niiiice. I love the takeoff on klimpt, and it's delightfully creepy with the context of the story.

I still don't know how you painstakingly recreated Klimt's detailing in Dracula's robe, but the colours are just gorgeous. Love how everything that was evoked in the original can be so perfectly overlayed on the relationship between Dracula and Mina, it works so well that I'm forever gonna be skewed by this whenever I see the original. :D

[identity profile] dualbunny.livejournal.com 2010-01-04 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
What a neat idea! I think you've merged your vision with Klimt's *wonderfully*.

wow, this is a lovely remix of two fantastic works. love the patterning here, and the glorious details.

Sumptuous and vivid! Klimt's decadence really fits Stoker's universe beautifully.

Oh wow, I love your style; it really reminds me forcibly of Gustav Klimt's paintings, with your use of geometric shapes as clothing patters. Good job!
