The sheer creativity coming out of the crafters this year is amazing!

I love the contrast, and how clearly Buffy's the white knight while Faith is not as clearly bad, despite the blood on the sword -- it's wonderful.

So. Pretty.

It's awesome and it's for MEEEEEEE. Femslashy(*) women with swords *swoons*

This is great. I love the little details, the flowers and the decorations and the gradients (I love gradients :)) but not so much it overwhelms the simplicity of the design. And it's all..symbolismy and stuff. And then there's the fact you actually made something (I usully stick to digital art and it's wonderful undo button)

*is a happy little ball on incoherent squee*

(*)Hey, it's my art, I can read it as femslashy if I want :)

Eee! The possibility occured to me, then I thought "Ah, but they're almost certainly not Australian so it would be unfair to expect them to pay the postage." Yay! *hopes artist isn't now thinking "Wait, she's in Australia?!" :)*

Also it struck me just as I made my last comment that as much as I'm sure being a mod here is a lot of work, it does mean your inbox must be full of happy squee.

Sent!

I was aware you were in Australia, it's all good

I thought it was worth checking, I'd feel bad if you were all "Wait, WA as in Western Australia??" :)

Fierce slayers are fierce! I love both the medium and the execution. Very nice work!

So cool! What fun! I like the contrasting flowers for the girls.

Man, there have been some really diverse gifts this year, and lots of sendables! So exciting to see all the different mediums and forms of art going around! :D

[identity profile] chrismm.livejournal.com 2009-12-14 06:52 am (UTC)(link)
These are both awesome! I love how even with the contrasts between the two, there's still a lot that's similar--the two slayers are more alike then they'd admit to, in my opinion. :DD

What an original idea! (Jeez, you crafty people have really outdone yourselves this year.) I love the sort of parallel design you have going on the covers, and your subjects look great - Buffy in particular has a sort of nobility about her. :) I really love the box interiors, too. Awesome!

What a great craft! It's really neat. :D

This is so neat and clever! I love the contrasting swords, and the light vs. dark motif you have going on.

I love stuff like this that does the whole contrast/two-sides-of-the-coin thing; it's the perfect way to compare and make art from the Buffy-Faith dynamic. The symbolism of the rose and the lily are particularly well-chosen, and the whole idea is so neat! Great job!

Oh wow, that's just amazing. I'm so jealous of people who can craft like that. It shows such creativity and the workmanship looks great.

So pretty! :)))

I love this! It is such a neat and practical craft and somehow that makes it very Buffyverse appropriate. I love the whole 'two sides of the same coin' look you have between Buffy and Faith with the colours and their flowers and the righteousness of both. The design inside the boxes is delightful!
