Artist notes: With such a huge canon to chose from, I let the season do my picking for me. Hope you enjoy photoshop silliness. I'm diggin' it -- I was tempted to print this out and use it for my holiday cards this year. ^_^

Oh my god. This is amazing. Hogfather is one of my favourite Discworld books, and I always end up rereading it this time of year. This passage is one of my favourite bits of the book as well.

This picture is fantastic. I can't tell if it's a photomanip or what, it's just so damn cool.

Anyway this might sound kind of... I don't know, odd... but this Christmas was actually kind of a terrible one for me due to a death in my family, and as strange as it is... this has actually really helped make me feel better. So thank you so much for this. ♥

Not having much experience with photomanips/collages other than really ... primitive ... ones, I had no idea what to expect here. So what a delight to find something so incredibly-crafted and whimsical and high-quality! This really captures the spooky-yet-hilarious Hogfather feeling. Wonderful!

Aww, thanks! I agree, Photoshop can be abused a lot -- but it has power for good too! If you ever see real "Photoshop art", it's incredible- so I aspire to be 10% as awesome. Plenty of the primitive ones are good for a laugh though, so we all must not take ourselves seriously. ^_^ I usually use my powers for evil, making more CRACK!ART than art. Heeeee I don't know why, but I just feel like this collage/painting is so perfect for the Hogfather story - it's a mismatch of things that, when assembled in such a clever manner, work in their hodge-podge hilarity. Man, now I want to watch the mini series again, it makes me so happy!

Shucks! Well, you got a sneak peek and didn't tell me that there was a photo-claus in the rules, so I must blame my line-toe'ing on YOU!!

I had been doing so many deck_the_icons, I had decking on the brain ... so when I went surfing for source images to draw something Death!Hogfathery, and I was piecing them together for figuring out the figure, I thought ... if I tidied this up and painted in the rest, it would actually look pretty cool. I'm glad you didn't object, and people seemed to enjoy it as much as I do!
