Oh my god, I used to play with that stuff as a kid all the time! You bake it, right?

My stuff was never that good, though!

[identity profile] florence-craye.livejournal.com 2009-01-06 03:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you!

Yeah, this is the stuff you bake. I re-discovered it as I used to play with it as a child, too.

There are lots of artists making amazing things with polymer clay these days. It's really coming up in the world! ;)

I love polymer clay crafting! I was right away like, "I wonder if that's made out of Premo, Cernit or Fimo?" I like it how you have put texture to the dress.

[identity profile] florence-craye.livejournal.com 2009-01-06 03:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Yay, and thank you! It is a mixture of Fimo Soft and some Sculpey as well... I think. lol

I used some window screening to put the texture in her dress. Lots of fun!

The dress really reminds me of the one she's wearing in the first scenes of the PBS miniseries. Nicely done!

[identity profile] florence-craye.livejournal.com 2009-01-06 03:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you! I modeled it after the dress on the cover of my copy of the first book, but I am glad it works for the PBS version, too. :D

[identity profile] bookshop.livejournal.com 2008-12-31 03:35 am (UTC)(link)

[identity profile] glockgal.livejournal.com 2008-12-31 05:15 pm (UTC)(link)
It is so cute and so iconic of Anne of Green Gables, I love so much how you can create this in 3D with clay. Amazing! Love the texture in her pinafore and the sunflower in her hat. And her button eyes! You are absolutely amazing.

[identity profile] florence-craye.livejournal.com 2009-01-06 03:26 pm (UTC)(link)
OMG yay! Thanks for the awesome feedback. Polymer clay is the bomb. :D

[identity profile] dualbunny.livejournal.com 2009-01-05 06:29 pm (UTC)(link)
She's adorable! I especially like the detail in her hat and dress--love the texture to the "fabric". :D

[identity profile] florence-craye.livejournal.com 2009-01-06 03:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Yay, thank you! I used some window screening to put the texture in her dress. It was fun deciding what to use for that. :)

This is so adorable!
