HAPPY YULETART, Redanalysis!

Title: Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital, Ankh-Morpork
Gift for: [livejournal.com profile] redanalysis
Artist: [livejournal.com profile] harbek
Rating: G
Fandom: Discworld & House MD
Characters: Left to right: Chase, Death, Cameron, Rincewind, House,
Wilson, Cuddy, Quoth (the Raven), Foreman
Artist notes: This took far longer than it ought to have, with
illness and computer troubles and travelling. Still, it came out looking
pretty good. Yes, the ''wizzard' spelling is deliberate. This is the
closest I am able to get to humour, but the idea was humourous to me at
least. I enjoyed this idea. Reference for the House characters is from a
promoshot for said show. Hope you like!
Summary: Rincewind has fallen ill, but House and his team are there
to help. Even Death and Quoth has shown up to watch. (Basically just a
group picture!)

Awesome! Dramatic composition. I can't stop staring at it. House is like Jesus or something the way all eyes lead to him.

*gasp*

Gorgeous! The faces are all dead-on, the folds in clothing are fantastic, and I love the choices of placement, with Foreman walking away, Cuddy with a raven on her head, and Cameron as close to Death as she is to House and Chase. This is such an amazing piece of work on so many levels.

Hee! Cool crossing of worlds, and I love that Death is always hanging around Rincewind in these matters ... strangely unsure if he'll be needed or not. :D The House likenesses are unbelievably accurate -- I'd love to know your technique/process!

I second that; there's nothing stiff, it's clearly your style, yet you managed really perfect likenesses of REALLY difficult faces! I'd love to know how you did it.

Nothing but good use of reference (http://www.wazoo.no/krissy/temp/houseref.jpg).

WOW this is amazing!
The likeness is outstanding. I love how you've kept it simple, and yet managed to hit the characters' looks spot on. *thumbs up*

I love the idea of Discworld and House, and I cannot believe you found a way to combine them. XD The line art is really clean and and you captured the likeness of ever character incredibly well.

SQUEEEEEEE!!! I LOVE it!!! Such an adorably random crossover, and the lines, and the faces and, and... *joy overload*

And Quoth on Cuddy's head is awesome!

I like the way you incorporated the Discworld folk into that promo shot. Foreman is looking wary of Quoth, though Cuddy is completely casual. I guess dealing with House on a regular basis make her blase! Chase and Cameron look to be having a covert chat with Death. Love the Wizzard hat!

Whoa, brilliant! You captured all the little ducklings perfectly! :D

Crossoverly awesomeness! This is great. :D

Hahahahaha! Oh, I love this :D The faces are all perfect! There isn't one of them I don't like. Especially Rincewind, though - his worried expression is so him and so the best one. ;) (Even though, Chase... mmmmh, prettyboy. ♥)

Oh man. This picture is awesome. I really like the style you've used!

Holy shit this is fabulous ♥

[identity profile] rasetsunyo.livejournal.com 2008-02-03 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
What a neat idea! It looks just like them, and their poses and expressions capture their personalities perfectly!

[identity profile] glockgal.livejournal.com 2008-02-03 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
Squeeeeeeeeeee, there is something so completely mesmerizing about this, it's seriously canonical, like. The Last Supper or something! And I love the clean lines and flat shading you used. And I agree - you must reveal your secrets - how did you use such simple lines and yet achieve such incredible likeliness of all the House characters! *fascinated*

I sooooo love Cuddy and Foreman especially. Squeee!

And thank you. ^^

Ooh, I swear I love this so much. I want little Cuddy babies now. They will wear Wizzard hats, lawl. Just absolutely amazing!

Wow, that's fantastic.

I like this a lot, more than the reference photo, really. The depth to their faces is really great, considering the economy of the style its drawn in. Spectacular.

Oooh, beautifully done.
