HAPPY YULETART, Ponta-Jun!

Title: Window Display (and a canned drink)
Gift for: [livejournal.com profile] ponta_jun
Artist: [livejournal.com profile] pcby
Rating:: G
Fandom: Hikaru no Go
Characters: Hikaru, Akira, Sai, and OC passerby (interchangeable) little girl
(Technical) Warnings: 7 pages with lack of backgrounds and inconsistent details...
(Plot) Warnings: References/spoilers up to v15ch125, and up until v17ch148 when this story is truly completed.
Artist notes: (dies) Something that was small and definitely less than three drawings just....grew. As I miscalculated the time it takes to produce stories rather than just a snapshot, er, the result is as you can see. About the last bit on the last page...that wasn't intentional. I ran out of time to process the last 5 pages, and page 7 just seemed the best place to stop. It shall have its proper end soon, however. In any case, I would love to recieve concrits, so please tell me what I've done wrong! Jun, I hope this is, at least, a bit to your liking~
Summary: "If you keep chasing my ghost, the real me will catch up to you someday" - Hikaru no Go, vol5 ch37.

Wow, that is awesome! I love your close-up on objects and all the different shading and colouring techniques you used! Amazing job!

OMG, Thank you so much *-*!!!
You should have put so much effort on it!!!!
Thanks for this lovely and awesome dojin *°*. I am a dojin lover so I am very pleased to get one *^*!!!!
I love the story and the text!! I especially love the part of the manga where it takes place (even if it is also an utterly sad part T-T), and you showed Hikaru's feeling so well on this little comic. (Saaaaaaaaaaaai TT).
And the last sentence said by Akira is especially great (and well found :p).
I can't wait for "proper ending" you are talking about *-*.
Thank you thank you!

And I don't forget the drawings! They are very nice!! I especially love the last drawing of Akira, he looks so sweet on it *-*! And the close-up on Hikaru's face just before is also beautiful (the little white strikes were a good idea *-*) ! You are good for drawing expessions! And actually characters also look great when hey are drawn entirely ;).
The little girl is cute :D

Sorry, I have not real advicess, I am so pleased by it! Maybe you should put more "shadows" or "white part" on your tones, but this is is not a must ;).

Wow, this is just beautiful. I love the dreamy, contemplative pacing of it . . . with the emphasis at the end. ^^ The shading and lines are quite nice, too; the minimalism really suits the flow of the piece.

I don't even know what the heck this fandom is or what's going on, but I love the feel of it, the construction, the expressions and atmosphere. It's exactly like reading a really good doujinshi, with the slight sense of dreaminess and disassociation. Wonderful!

Such great doujin storytelling, Ilove all the different ways you positionand compose each panel, without making the story confused. That takes great skill! And it doesn't hurt that the characters are so pretty to look at.XD Love all the tonal shading work as well!

Wow. This feels like, what's the quote? "A riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma." There's a wonderful, almost delirious quality to it.
