But that version ended up looking tacky and I couldn't gift it. Parody of the famous painting "American Gothic" by Grant Wood.

Shows how uncultured I am that I was really thankful for the link to the original of the parody piece. ^^;
You've done a great job with the positioning of the people. I'm drawn to their direct eyes and how you've expressed the stubble.

Heh. I wasn't sure that people would know the original, so I thought it best to put it in. The painting's rather more modern than I thought it was, though!
