Yes, sad wasn't exactly the word I wanted, but I couldn't think of the right one! He has an complicated expression which suggests complicated (and interesting) emotions.

Okay, this is gorgeous, oh my god. The COLORS. The sunlight. Laurent's expression *_______* and his hair *____* and the marks on both of them, old and new, scars and scratches, and gah, Damen sleeping so peacefully while Laurent looks at him like that, I can't, this is so perfect, WHY COULDN'T THEY JUST STAY FROZEN IN THIS MOMENT FOREVER. I've seen a bunch of CP fanart but this is legit my favorite, they look just like I imagine them. From now on whenever I'm missing these guys and waiting for a new chapter I'll just come back to this post and stare for a bit. I am so so so so happy you chose my prompt. THANK YOU <333

I am so glad you like the scar/scratch thing because it hit me that it could be ~symbolic and stuff. GAH FEELS. I'm glad they look like you imagined them (!!! HEADCANON I WAS SO WORRIED ABOUT GETTING THEM WRONG), and since you wanted a scene that wasn't in the canon I wanted to show Laurent after the second round of sex because he leaves without saying anything and I just wanted to show his side. I went and reread CP to get a better feel of the characters, and at every moment I would get a FEELS ATTACK because there are so many tragic things woven in. ajskglajsg asldjg OH LAURENT WHY CAN'T YOU JUST BE HAPPY.
