Happy Yuletart, lady_nimua!

Title: That's a personal question
Gift for: [livejournal.com profile] nogah
Artist:  [livejournal.com profile] ieke85
Rating:: G
Fandom: Bedazzled (1967) film
Characters: Stanley Moon and George Spiggott (aka, the Horned One, Beelzebub, the Devil, the Unholy One...)
Warnings: It's G and technically canon, but with a little room for interpretation. ;)
Artist notes: Paper and a #2 pencil. I had fun with this one, and it was an excuse to see a new movie (er, old movie)! I'm new to the fandom, so I hope I did it justice and you like it!
Summary: How do you prove you're the Devil? Through a demonstration of your amazing powers, of course. But first...

I do not know this at all, but it is lovely :-)

Why thank you! I didn't know the fandom very well either when I started it because I had only seen the 2000 film, so I'm glad it appeals to more people!

Great likenesses!

Thanks so much! A lot of tweaking and teeny eraser bits went into this thing, so I'm glad they're recognizable!

I haven't seen the movie, but the drawing is very nice! i especially like angle its drawn at and the profile of the guy on the left.

Thanks so much! I had a hard time with the profile, so I'm thrilled to hear it turned out okay!

Very nice likenesses (and at the risk of sounding wierd - you do very nice ears)- I particularly like Stanley's profile, and his doubtful expression *g*

Haha, thanks! Ears are hard because everyone's ears are different. They're a bit like fingerprints. I'll admit to using copious amounts of photo references for these two.

AHAHAH I have nooo idea what this fandom is but I feel so happy that you drew it! Their dialogue is hilarious, and I love the angles on their faces. Great likenesses!

Eee! Thanks! I was nervous about picking dialogue that could be appreciated by both Bedazzled fans and those who hadn't seen it, so I'm really glad to hear it worked! Luckily, the movie is full of memorable quotes like that.

Dunno the fandom, but I like the way you use pencil shading. The faces in particular have such a nice subtle shading that makes them really look real.

Thanks so much! Shading is one of my favorite things to do, even though it's finicky and time-consuming, so I'm very humbled and appreciative to know you like it!

Yay! Thanks so much! I'm glad you like it.

Browsing through the masterlist I thought, surely, this would be for the remake. Which is not to say that art for the remake would be anything but delightful, so I clicked anyway, only to see that it's for the original! Fantastic! And indeed very fine likenesses :-)

I'm glad you clicked through! I actually hadn't seen the original until this prompt came up and I had to do research. I quite enjoyed it! It's very much more British than the new one, for obvious reasons. Thank you for looking!

Well I keep meaning to watch this film and this just makes me want to see it more. I love the pencil work with this. It gives it a classic feel that seems very appropriate.

Thanks so much! I'm glad the pencil came through as well as it did on the scanned version.
