FAQ

Important Points About Signing Up

  • The Set List has now been created. Please specify what your preference is for any umbrella fandoms that have many sub-categories. This will help your gift-giver know what to draw for you.
    Example 1:
Star Trek (The Next Generation and Deep Space 9)

    Example 2:
Marvel Comics (Iron Man movie, Runaways, Generation-X, Wolverine and the X-Men cartoon)

    Example 3:
    Music RPF (The Beatles, U2)

  • For ALL fandoms, please spell out the fandom name rather than using acronyms! THIS INCLUDES BAND NAMES.

  • Additionally, remember that the more information you can give in your "special requests" section, the better. This is where you would designate specific characters, ships, etc. More info helps us make more appropriate assignments.

  • Remember that Yuletart is about the joy of creating art together, not about who is "best" or "most perfect." You should not only be able to put forth your very best effort, but be able to appreciate the effort of others regardless of their level of skill. We know that "effort" is a very subjective concept, so for our purposes we're defining it as an art or craft that has gone through at least one rough draft, gotten objective advice from a third party, and then edited into a final, more polished work. (Note: Mom and Dad probably aren't going to be objective about your art. If you can't find an objective beta, try [livejournal.com profile] artbeta. The artists there are patient, generous and willing to work with all skill levels. You can even ask for one-on-one help via email.)

  • If you have questions or need clarification, please ask them HERE.

Sign-Ups are now CLOSED

- Here is the SET LIST of fandoms.
- Here are the MASTER LISTS from previous years.

Please read the guidelines above BEFORE you submit your form, EVEN IF YOU HAVE BEEN IN THE FEST BEFORE! Many of you are using acronyms, we need you to spell names out. This not only keeps requests clear, it helps us do page searches when it comes time to make matches.

Long list is long!

AT LEAST 3 fandoms from the Set List: Alias, Big Bang Theory, Bones, Castle, Harry Potter, Merlin, Monster Blood Tattoo, Sherlock Holmes (2010 TV series), Star Trek (reboot, TOS)
"Wildcard" fandoms : The Demon's Lexicon/The Demon's Covenant by Sarah Rees Brennan
What is the highest rating of art you would like to get? Go wild, I'll take anything from G to NC-17 :)
Specific requests: I'd like to see a focus on female characters, I love women kicking ass and I like femslash. Just as a general overview :) More fandom specifics: Alias; Sydney, Irina Derevko, Lauren, Anna Espinosa, Sark, Dixon and his adorable family; Big Bang Theory; I'd love to see a gender-bent version of the cast; any Alias art I can get my hands on would rock :D; Bones; Temperance, Angela, Cam and any slashy combination thereof, bonus points for OT3!; Castle; Beckett and Lanie being sassy and awesome, Ryan and Esposito being adorkable, and/or Castle, Alexis and Martha being a weird and wonderful family (I adore the family dynamic on this show) A CHRISTMAS SCENE INVOLVING THE WHOLE CAST WOULD BE AMAZING; Harry Potter; Hermione being clever, I also love the Weasleys and Pansy Parkinson; Merlin; Gwen being the once and future queen or Morgana and Morgause being a terrifying force to be reckoned with; Monster Blood Tattoo; I love everything about these books, so anything anything anything!; Sherlock Holmes; Sherlock/John (but for this pairing only I'd prefer it non explicit; my personal canon Sherlock is perfectly capable of deep affection but also asexual); Star Trek: Uhura being brilliant! Spock/Uhura also most welcome for either TOS or reboot :D; Sarah Rees Brennan Mae! Sin! Sin and Mae! Mae and Jamie being family! Alan and Nick being family! <3!! (PHEW, sorry for the long list!!)
