This looks great. Good likeness, especially of Merlin, and I really like the effect of the decorative plants framing the scene.

This is incredibly beautiful and it really does remind me of picture books of fairy tales. I love the subtle colors, the details textures in Merlin's hair and their HANDS. The angle of Merlin's wrist is just lovely. What a marvelous piece.

Oh wow, this is so beautiful and intimate and lovely. You definitely nailed that fairy book illustration feel, i particularly love all the curing plant tendrils and the detail of the plants and flowers around Merlin. I love the detail of Merlin's hair as well, it looks so soft. This is wonderful Mystery Artist!

Oh, goodness, this is just beautiful. I love the overall illustration style so much - the dtails are intricate, and the mood is so quiet and lovely. Arthur's pose and expression are so tender, and Merlin looks marvelously peaceful. I love all the teeny-tiny curling vines, mushrooms, and strands of Merlin's hair. *_*

Very lovely pic!

Oooooh, this is just beyond beautiful! I adore this style, it reminds me of Art Deco, that I love. What a wonderful lineart and what love for details. Simply breathtaking!

And yes, I do like old story books; I prefer them by far to the fashionable Manga style that everybody seems to favour.

I consider myself the luckiest of giftees, thank you, thank you, thank you, Mystery Artists. I can't wait to see more of your art! <33333333333333333333

This is a gorgeous gift, not only for Leochi but for fans of traditional fairytales, like me. I adore everything here. The colors, the stone wall, the way you handle texture like the grass and hair. But oh, the details! Mushrooms, vines, the prince's clothes, sleeping beauty's peaceful repose.....
Yum! I can stare for hours!

This is AMAZING. The patterning on the grass so that it looks like feathers, Merlin's half open mouth... I love it.

Here thanks to [livejournal.com profile] leochi’s rec, and so happy I followed it (even though I’ve never seen BBC’s Merlin). The amazing details of the plants are so magical, and the characters so real.

Wow, this is gorgeous! Awesome! :)

Dude, I recognised your style immediately! I love the desaturated tones to Arthur's clothes, mixed with the old paper background - like leafing through an old fairytale book. I especially love the white to Merlin's skin, like alabaster it looks gorgeous against the bright red of the mushrooms. ♥
