so, so very cool and imaginative. And wow, you really captured Morgana's likeness, which is hard (for me x___x) beautiful!

THE FALL FANART! Oh my god, this is unexpected and glorious ♥ I love the flowing lines of both your pieces, and how creative, elegant and compelling they look *_* Also, the delicate shading in Morgana's face! So pretty~

They are both just stunning! Just gorgeous.

[identity profile] nuclearsugars.livejournal.com 2009-12-08 02:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I love that you used "Morgana's amazing cleavage" as a warning. xD

These are really beautiful, there's something surreal about them, which I really like.

I really like these! I'm not familiar with the first fandom, so I'm sure I'm missing some symbolism, but the drawing itself is surreal and Beardsley-esque and just lovely. I like how you create these intricate textures using such clean lines.
And Morgana's hair as a decorative element in the second one is beautiful. The flow of it! Creepy and gorgeous.

Very nice! I love your pen work, it's to detailed and tidy!

Oh my goodness, what fantastic pieces! I particularly love the contour lines of the sleeve and...branches? in the first one, they are marvelous. These manage to be both elegantly simple and have great details at the same time: fabulous work!

sdgg;ga'gljas this is FANTASTIC. So unique, love how you've incorporated that sort of art nouveau hair-melting twisty bits surrealism in there. Your linework is absolutely perfect, too.

[identity profile] gardendoor.livejournal.com 2009-12-08 03:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow, gorgeous! I love her face and the woodcut look of the pencils.

[identity profile] leochi.livejournal.com 2009-12-08 03:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, those are beautiful! I love lineart. :)))

[identity profile] noelleno.livejournal.com 2009-12-08 04:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh my gosh. These are so stylish. Your line control is superb!

OMG, two of my favorite fandoms! These are beautiful. They're so dreamy and surreal, like the art nouveau stuff you got in the 1920's. Morgana's eyes are intense, and I absolutely love the way you've done the hair in both pieces.

I also really like the concept behind the "The Fall" piece. It fits really nicely with the thematic elements of the movie, and it's absolutely lovely besides. I can't get over how fabulous these are!

Whoa. *_* Where to even start? The wood fingers? The way you give me hope for pencil as a medium? The Dali-like contours of Morgana's hair? This is just gorgeous and I love them to bits.

What an amazing style!

I wish my visceral response to these was something more articulate than "WOW", but seriously -- WOW. First, you did art for The Fall, eeeeeeeee! -- and so perfectly conceptualized Tarsem Singh's distinctive trademarks on paper; it's surreal, entrancing, and slightly disturbing, but so subtly.

I have to say though that it's the carrying-over of that same Tarsem Singh sensibility to a fandom as fluffy as Merlin that really impresses and delights me. That Morgana looks like her, but really conveys the dark canon of the character of Morgan Le Fay, the constant danger she lives under, the death waiting for its chance. It's absolutely chilling and utterly beautiful.

Wonderful work!

These are so cool! Don't know anything about the first fandom, but I love the piece--the little root-things coming out of his head look fantastic. And Morgana is awesome! It kind of looks like the process of her going crazy to me. Very nice.

Oh wow! I love the composition of the fist piece, the arm and hand are especially cool. And omg Morgana's hair! I love the way it frames her face. Very well done!

I don't know the first fandom, but I really like the image, it is very surreal. And your Morgana is great.

[identity profile] dualbunny.livejournal.com 2009-12-08 08:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Gorgeous pieces. :} I love the organic flow of them and all the little twists of detail. The cast on her arm in the first one becomes something else completely and mimics the tree imagery in such a cool way. And I can't get over how the second one balances on the edge of delicate and foreboding. You have a stunning style. :D

Both of these are really gorgeous! The lines are so natural.

[identity profile] kittehkat.livejournal.com 2009-12-08 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow! This is amazing work! So stylised and beautiful! I love the way the lines lead you to discover more of the art -- it's like you drew a map. Gorgeous!

[identity profile] adalanne.livejournal.com 2009-12-09 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
I've been trying to come up with the right words to possibly say my thanks and voice how utterly amazing these are, but I don't think I can. Literally, I clicked the link and my jaw dropped. And to have two! And the sheer symbolism behind both of them, and the elegant and clean lines, and the depth of the characters, guh, it's breath-taking.

Once reveals are up, I might have to ask you for the biggest filesize you have of these. They would look amazing framed on my wall.

[identity profile] bluelittlepig.livejournal.com 2009-12-09 03:53 am (UTC)(link)
I love the design and style of these. The texture on the first one is really wonderful.

[identity profile] wensleydale.livejournal.com 2009-12-09 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
Oh wow, I love the surreal abstract hair on Morgana in the second pic, it's quite entrancing!

[identity profile] mashimero.livejournal.com 2009-12-09 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
You have a really cool style. Both pictures have such a nice flow to them. I don't know the first fandom, but I think you've captured Morgana's likeness perfectly!

Oooh, these are so pretty! What gorgeous design work. I particularly like Morgana's art nouveau style hair.

wow, these are pretty awesome. I love the flow and imagination.

Oh gosh, these are gorgeous. I'm not familiar with the first fandom, so I'm not sure how much of the design is original to the source, but . . . it looks stunning. And your linework is just beautiful. Your Morgana likeness is impressive, and I love the crazy stylized look of her "hair." Such lovely, delicate, imaginative work!

Whoa. The linework and the shapes and everything -- this is just fantastic.

[identity profile] karasu-hime.livejournal.com 2009-12-10 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
These are so wonderful. I especially love that you can see the lines and shapes of Morgana's hair in her swirl. Quite beautiful both of these are!

[identity profile] isiscolo.livejournal.com 2009-12-10 09:52 pm (UTC)(link)
That first picture - I don't know the fandom, but wow. It's oddly compelling. Fantastic.

[identity profile] glockgal.livejournal.com 2009-12-11 04:42 pm (UTC)(link)
KJHDKJFHIEHKJFHSDKJGSFKJGSKJFdsjdAKLdjKf I love so much about these. Your art style fits so perfectly with the surreality of the Fall, and I love how you chose to blend the three characters together in this familiar yet bizarre creation.

And MORGANA'S HAIR. It gives me eyes great pleasure to travel along the strands and follow them to their conclusion which in and of itself feels magical. Her little half-pursed open mouth is so incredibly Morgana and her long long graceful neck is sublime.

LOVE

[identity profile] zephre.livejournal.com 2009-12-17 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
these are glorious - love the aesthetic, the twining curves and fine lines. beautiful, beautiful work.

WOW!!! everything in the summary really comes across in this. just gorgeous!

Oh, Morgana! That is just brilliant.

Both are beautiful, but I particularly love the sketch of Morgana & how you've shown the flames in the shape of her hair, with the colour contrast hinting at darkness. Very nice!

This is so cool- I have no idea what the first fandom is about, but the juxtaposition of the elements into the face is very elegantly surreal. And I love Morgana's hair in the second- it looks almost liquid. (My brother, looking over my shoulder, says "Tight!")
