Giftart for Gardendoor!
Title: A Good Book
Gift for:
gardendoor
Artist:
darthneko
Rating: PG
Fandom: SG-1, Highlander, SGA
Characters: Daniel Jackson, Methos, Rodney McKay
Warnings: None
Artist notes: Given the choice between these three and the option to do portraits rather than pairings and pretty much an open license... I couldn't choose. So I grabbed all three and ran with it. I hope you like it. ^_^
Summary: Three brilliant men and the thing they share in common.

but there's something exquisite and unique about each of these portraits, they're all different despite sharing a theme. the different locations, the different expressions (Daniel's quiet, measured look at the viewer is KILLING me). the autumny touches in the Methos one, and his SCARF. and Rodney appears to be taking a moment to think about what he's been reading about, and i love this. and the slice of cityscape behind him is so well done.
A++, i really want to track down more of your work now.

you know, i think i've only seen one other piece of art by you, but i remember it *so well* even though it was months and months ago that this is just making me gleeful, to recognize you again. <3 Your style here is just, just gorgeous. The detail and the composition, the layering and the coloring. Beautiful.

And the theme of books! And how their personalities are shown so plainly just by the ways they choose the read their respective books. You are so clever!
