Giftart for Emmuzka!

Title: Here Is Your Verse
Gift for: [livejournal.com profile] emmuzka
Artist: [livejournal.com profile] reflectedeve
Rating:: PG
Fandom: bandom (Fall Out Boy)
Characters: Pete Wentz/Patrick Stump
Artist notes: Hey, so I really liked your note about a "scene out of an imaginary fic." Originally I had planned to just do a single snapshot, but I think more and more sequentially these days, so . . . two panels, not quite a stand-alone and not quite a whole comic. I hope you like. Happy holidays!
Summary: So I see this as a scene out of a high school AU of some kind. (The kind which isn't set in their "real" younger years, but instead is more . . . them as they are now, only in high school. Anyway.) Clearly, Pete has done something to piss Patrick off or hurt his feelings, and there has much angst and separation. Unable to express himself any other way, Pete has written a song for Patrick, to serenade him under his window! Unfortunately, Pete can't really write music, isn't much of a singer (this isn't time for screamo), and isn't particularly stellar on Joe's borrowed acoustic guitar. However, I'm sure the lyrics are very stirring (in a heavily-metaphorical Wentzian way), and his heart is definitely in the right place. :) (Patrick probably rolls his eyes, but starts talking to him again, and they patch it up.)

That is SO CUTE and such a fabulous idea! I love the wobbly notes, the dialogue in emoticons (instead of right-side-up smiley faces, hee!) and the indie-comic look of the whole thing is just freakin' *priceless*. What a lucky recipient, and hooray for creating such a glorious piece of art!
